That penalty.
Sterling, vs Shakhtar, tripping himself up with acres of space around him. Possibly the worst penalty decision I've seen in over 40 years of watching football.

suarez flicking up the ball onto what may have been a brush of Tomkins hand at UP a few years is right up there with the worst decisions ive seen. Did it loads of times that season until the refs cottoned on he was doing it deliberately

STILL FUMING

Oh and carroll's pen at leicester. Cunts

That will mean the right decision being made E12, no good for the big boys and their 'investment'

VAR works. It's ready to use, and ready to go.

The only reason its not widely used at the moment is because the powers that be are still wrangling about what the VAR refs responsibilities are.

Just make him the VAR ref, if he spots a mistake or sees something the ref hasnt, he contacts the ref, invites him to take another look. It's then down to the ref in the middle, armed with all the facts, to make the correct decision.

My priest is an English Catholic. Pretty sure The Vatican haven't commanded their clergymen to brainwash their flocks into hating the English either. Ridiculous statement.

You realise of course that your patently anti-English sentiments regularly expounded on this site, are a consequence of centuries of brain washing by Catholic priests on behalf of the Vatican.

"I wonder if you would be so sympathetic towards him in a few weeks time when we play city and he wins a penalty by diving?"

No they're separate things, that penalty last night and his propensity for diving which he has form for

Why is Sterling such a cunt off the pitch?

What has he done?

Re: THAT penalty.
Sterling is a decent lad and a quality footballer, typical little englander brexiteer comments in here about him from the usual racists.

Re: THAT penalty.
He fell over. Ref gave a pen. He didn’t ask for it or pretend he’d been fouled. Not his fault.

Fault of the officials.

But I thought he didnt dive? Make your mind up.

So this is about Sterling, not what happened, glad we cleared that up.

Re: THAT penalty.
The Robbie Fowler dive should be seen in context. An Arsenal player was booked for diving in the first half and Fowler thinking he would be booked tried to disown his dive which he probably did as a reflex action. The irony was that he was given a fair play award.

Re: THAT penalty.
I never said he DELIBERATELY kicked the turf, he kicked the turf for whatever reason and tripped himself up

It's not like it's a one off for him is it? he has form for diving and this one is the icing on the cake

I wonder if you would be so sympathetic towards him in a few weeks time when we play city and he wins a penalty by diving?

Bloke's an utter cunt

And he sort of did cheat by not owning up at the time.

Re: THAT penalty.
Sterling has form for being basically a bit of a cunt on and off the pitch already, so hardly a surprise, though he should be very embarrassed about this one.

I shudder any time one of our players goes to ground easily and am thankful that we're not actually that bad generally.

Spurs are probably the worst in England for diving, but even they'd struggle to pull off one like last night's that in hindsight, you have to laugh at. Absolutely fucking useless officials :o)
